Kerry snaps up two US firms

KERRY Group's acquisition spend in March topped the half billion dollar mark with the purchase yesterday of two US companies for €78 million.

Kerry Group, which employs 20,000 worldwide announced the acquisition of Oregon Chai Inc based in Portland, Oregon and Extreme Foods, based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kerry Group said the two companies hold leading positions in fast-growing niches of the branded beverage foodservice sector in the USA.
