Instead, the country will have to reinvent itself to fend off competition from the new EU member states and the rest of the world, head of Intel Ireland, Jim O'Hara, said.

But Ireland has the most to gain from tapping into the central and eastern European country markets according to a study released yesterday at the EU Finance Ministers meeting in Punchestown, Co Kildare.
