IFG chief executive Richard Hayes has upped his stake in the troubled financial services company.

Mr Hayes spent €495,000 earlier this week to increase his stake by 0.84% and bring the total to 7.9%. Fellow directors Joe Moran and Mark Bourke also bumped up their shareholdings, spending €495,000 and €360,000, respectively.

Mr Moran, who is chairman of both IFG and household products group IWP, now holds 8% of the company, while Mr Bourke, IFG finance director and deputy chief executive, owns 0.8%.
