Goodbody top for merger activity

LAW firm A&L Goodbody has retained its position as the top Irish law firm for merger and acquisition (M&A) activity, according to a review carried out by international financial information company Mergermarket.

The preliminary findings for 2004, which were published yesterday, show the firm advised on a total of 24 M&A deals valued at €2.6 billion.

The firm, which is based in Dublin’s IFSC, was the only Irish firm to be ranked in the top 50 global law firms for M&A activity.
