AIB/BNY deny Carlow base plan

AIB/BNY yesterday denied any knowledge of setting up a base in Carlow.

Industry sources understood the company were expanding their operations to the South East, in response to a growing trend which has seen many fund companies moving outside Dublin.

These include CITCO at Cork airport, State Street in Kilkenny and BISYS in Waterford.

The securities services company is a joint venture company of Allied Irish Banks and The Bank of New York.
