Debate rages over use of GM-based crops

BOTH sides of the genetically modified (GM) debate have been involved in a standoff in Australia for the past week.

The government says GM crops pose no risk to human health or the environment.

Naturally green groups are furious and they have called for an extension of the moratorium on such foods for an additional five years.
