Limerick to enjoy Good Friday cheer

Limerick city will be an alcohol oasis today ahead of this evening's Magners League clash between Munster and Leinster at Thomond Park.

The local district court has decided that the match is a 'special event' and has granted an exemption from the usual Good Friday ban on the sale of alcohol.

The historic break with tradition will ensure tonight's game generates millions of euro for the local economy.
