A Connecticut appeals court on Friday upheld $75,000  (€68,851) in fines against conspiracy theorist Alex Jones for missing a deposition in the lawsuit by Sandy Hook families.

The case led to a $1.4bn (€1.09billion) judgment against Mr Jones for repeatedly calling the 2012 school shooting a hoax.
