France’s beloved abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel has celebrated 1,000 years since the first stone was laid.

The anniversary of the Unesco World Heritage site and Normandy tourism magnet is being celebrated until November with exhibits, dance shows and concerts. And now a presidential visit.
