John Major criticises Johnson’s suspension of Parliament at Supreme Court

Former British Prime Minister John Major believes Boris Johnson’s prorogation decision was motivated by his “political interest” in closing down Parliament ahead of the UK’s exit from the EU.

Mr Major is an intervener in an unprecedented case at the Supreme Court over the Prime Minister’s advice to the Queen to suspend Parliament for five weeks.
