Local ad selling 'special offer' air guns, knives and machetes banned in the UK

An "irresponsible" local advert featuring air guns and knives on promotion has been banned in the UK amid concerns about mounting violent crime.

The leaflet, which was circulated among 1,000 homes in the Sheffield area of northern England, advertised air weapons including sniper rifles and handguns as well as a long reach machete under special offer.
