Polish government to oppose Donald Tusk’s bid for second term as EC chief
The Polish government will oppose a second term for fellow Pole Donald Tusk as the European Council chief at next week’s EU summit, the head of Poland’s conservative ruling party said.
The declaration by Poland’s most powerful politician, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, aimed to damage the prospects of his long-term political rival just days before a decision is made on Mr Tusk’s future.
