Mother of murdered Daniel Pelka dies in prison

The mother of murdered Daniel Pelka has died in prison on the eve of what would have been her son’s eighth birthday.

Magdelena Luczak, 29, who was convicted of murder after the four-year-old boy suffered “incomprehensible” cruelty, was found unresponsive in her cell at HMP Foston Hall in Derby at around 7.15am today.
