Survey finds hundreds of children over five in UK wear nappies at school

Children are still wearing nappies in class after the age of five in hundreds of schools across England.
Teachers say that in some cases pupils as old as 15 are still not toilet trained.
The survey, commissioned by Sky News for the National Foundation for Educational Research, says the children have no medical conditions or developmental issues.
More than 1,100 teachers in primary and secondary schools took part in the survey which found that 9% of them claimed that a child aged between five and seven wore a nappy at school in the past 12 months. The survey showed that 5% of classroom teachers made the same claim.
The findings also show that as many as 4% of heads and senior staff said they knew of children as old as 11 who had been sent to school in a nappy in the past year.
UK Parenting Consultant Kate Barlow says pull-ups are adding to the problem.
