Three South Korean tourists have been killed after a suspected car bomb went off near a border crossing between Egypt and Israel in the Sinai Peninsula, security officials say.

Three South Korean tourists have been killed after a suspected car bomb went off near a border crossing between Egypt and Israel in the Sinai Peninsula, security officials say.

The Egyptian officials said the explosion took place near a bus carrying the tourists, wounding 13 more.

They said the bus was carrying 33 South Korean tourists and had arrived at the Taba crossing from the ancient Greek Orthodox St Catherine’s monastery in central Sinai.
