A strong earthquake, of 4.6 magnitude, has hit the western Greek island of Kefalonia but no damage has been reported.

A strong earthquake, of 4.6 magnitude, has hit the western Greek island of Kefalonia but no damage has been reported.

The tremor happened at 9.31am local time at sea, west of the island, 16 miles below the surface, some 186 miles west of the capital Athens, the Institute of Geodynamics at Athens University reported.
