The founder of a French company, which sold defective breast implants internationally, has been sentenced to four years in jail.

Jean-Claude Mas was found guilty of fraud after his business, PIP, used industrial-grade silicone in hundreds of thousands of breast implants, causing many to rupture.

Four other former executives were also convicted.
