All your Christmas dinner - in one cheese

A cheese containing all the flavours of traditional Christmas dinner has been created.

Cheese brand Pilgrims Choice has come up with the creation, which features tastes of turkey flavouring, carrots, Brussels sprouts, festive fruit, candied cherries and apple in a block of Pilgrims Choice Cheddar cheese.

But those who would rather enjoy a sweeter festive taste can go for the Christmas Pudding cheese, which includes brandy-soaked sultanas, raisins and currants, candied cherries and apple, cinnamon and a special Christmas liqueur.

Linda Appel, who developed the idea, said: “The best bit about it, in my opinion, is that now you can have Christmas dinner on toast – just slice the Christmas dinner cheese and put it on a slice of bread under the grill."
