Prosecutors in Portugal are reopening the police investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, after a review of evidence found new leads in the case.

The state broadcaster Radiotelevisao Portuguesa said the public prosecutor decided to reopen the case after “new indications” emerged, though it gave no details. The public prosecutor’s office could not immediately be reached.
