Navy base gunman had three weapons

The defence contractor who fatally shot 12 people at the Washington Navy Yard was carrying three weapons during the rampage.

Two federal law enforcement officials say Aaron Alexis had an AR-15 assault rifle, a shotgun and a handgun that he took from a police officer at the scene.
