Man accused of Tia Sharp murder claims her death was accidental

The man accused of murdering Tia Sharp in the UK wrote to his father from prison - begging for his forgiveness and claiming her death was an accident.

The three page letter was read out at the trial of Stuart Hazell - who denies murdering the 12 year-old in south London last year.

Prosecutors claim he sexually assaulted Tia before killing her and hiding her body in her grandmother's loft.
