Six-minute cruise anyone?

Passengers on a "mini cruise" to Holland spent just six minutes at their destination.

Around 250 holidaymakers were making the 700-mile round trip from North East England to Amsterdam, but due to terrible storms the 13-hour crossing lasted 30 hours and they were only able to spend six minutes in the Netherlands – in a car park.

Mark Dunn, 25, who was on the vessel, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It was blowing a gale…I think it was gale force eight or nine. We didn't get there until 11pm. We spent six minutes in the terminal car park.”

The passengers were due to spend six hours sightseeing in the Dutch capital but they had to be taken 50 miles south to Hook of Holland instead.
