Man gets hot coffee in face in attempted robbery

A US cashier saved a Dunkin' Donuts from being robbed by throwing hot coffee in a robber's face.

The lady, known only as Angelica, had to react quickly after a man told her he was trying to steal from the establishment in Connecticut when she refused to change a $100 bill for him.

He attempted to climb through the window of the Dunkin' Donuts so she launched the hot beverage at him, according to the Hartford Courant.

She told NBC: "That's when he started running into his truck and he left, and I said, 'Go run on Dunkin.' "
