Hero rabbit scares off intruders

A rabbit has become a hero after scaring off burglars by thumping his foot.

Toby the bunny's owners Kimberley May and her fiance Martin were awoken by the sound of his thumping and then went back to sleep, but in the morning they were stunned to see they had been burgled.

The thieves left some of their loot on the sofa and it is thought they had probably ditched the stash when Toby scared them off.

Kimberley is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "When Toby thumps the floor, it’s incredibly loud and it echoes around the house.

“He has done the job of a guard dog. We’re so proud of him and have rewarded him with a new play tunnel.”
