Gator confronts drugs-raid police in the UK

British police were shocked to be confronted by an alligator having a bath when they raided a house.

The officers made a cannabis raid on the three-bedroom property – which appeared to be a normal semi-detached house from the outside - and they were stunned to see the beast splashing around and getting clean in the tub.

As well as the alligator, officers discovered a number of snakes, including a poisonous king cobra, a rattlesnake and three monocled cobras after searching houses and shops nearby.

Inspector Dave Gordon, of Cheshire Police, said: "This operation was initiated by information we received from members of the community.

"We were concerned for the safety of the public, so swift action was taken."
