London riots report blames parents and lack of opportunity
An independent report into last summer's riots in Britain has blamed bad parenting and a lack of opportunities for young people.
The report - due to be presented to the British Prime Minister David Cameron tomorrow - said 15,000 people were involved in the disturbances.
It warned that more must be done to help what it calls the half a million "forgotten families" left behind by society.
Nick Buckley, the founder of an anti-social behaviour charity in Manchester, said people also needed to start taking some responsibility for their own lives, and to take opportunities that were presented to them.
