Gaddafi 'killed in Sirte battle'

Muammar Gaddafi was captured and possibly killed when revolutionary forces overwhelmed his home town, Sirte, transitional government officials said today.

During the fighting, Nato blasted a fleeing convoy that fighters said was carrying the ex-Libyan dictator.
