KFC forces restaurant chain to change 'distasteful' name
A company known as Obama Fried chicken has been forced to change its name.
The restaurant in Beijing, China, has altered its name to UFO - for unknown reasons - because southern fried chicken chain KFC issued a legal threat stating the shop's logo is too similar to its own.
The motif shows an illustration of US President Barack Obama dressed in a bow-tie and suspenders, accompanied by the tag-line: "We so cool, aren't we?" It is thought to be similar to KFC’s Colonel Sanders.
A spokesperson for KFC told the Washington Post: "We're considering legal action as it is a knock-off and has nothing to do with us and it infringes on our brand trademark.
"We find it distasteful."
