Turkey suspends tiwes with Israel after 'damning' UN report
Turkey has suspended all military ties with Israel after a UN report slammed the "excessive" force used in a raid on a Gaza aid flotilla last year.
Israeli troops are also criticised for using "unreasonable" force boarding the Mavi Marmara on May 31, 2010, leading to the deaths of nine people, eight of whom were Turkish nationals.
However, the report said the flotilla acted recklessly in attempting to breach the naval blockade and Israel faced significant, organised and violent resistance from a group of passengers.
Turkey's President Abdullah Gul said Ankara will reject the report, regarding it as "null and void".
