Oz trek for Star Wars buff

A Star Wars enthusiast is walking across Australia dressed as a Stormtrooper.

Jacob French – who ran a marathon in Melbourne wearing the outfit last year - is making the 3,106-mile trip from Perth to Sydney to raise money for Starlight Children's Foundation and will transport his belongings in a shopping trolley.

He told the Trooper Trek 2011 website: "Over the course of the trek I will cross four states and cover approximately 5,000km in modified Stormtrooper armour.

"The plan for now is to push a lightweight buggy with needed supplies and average a distance of 35-40km for five days a week until the trek is complete."
