Residents to avoid funfair queues by ignoring royal wedding

More than 100 people from a Cardiff suburb have organised an away-day to a theme park when Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot – to avoid “wall-to-wall” coverage of the royal wedding.

Scores of residents in Pentrebane have signed up for the trip to Oakwood Park, in West Wales, apparently weary of the media hype surrounding the couple’s marriage.
