Daniel Defoe rescued from remote island

Coastguards in Scotland saved a man marooned on a remote island – called Daniel Defoe.

Unlucky Defoe – whose namesake is the author who created book character Robinson Crusoe, who spent 28 years as a castaway – was stranded on Cramond Island with a female partner when the tides began to rise.
