Tanker and cargo vessel collide in English Channel

A tanker carrying a load of solvent and a cargo vessel have collided in the English Channel.

The tanker is said to be listing heavily. It has not sunk, and coastguard officials say there is no sign of pollution arising from the incident, which happened off the coast of Brittany in northwest France.
