Fifth of Americans think Obama is Muslim

Nearly a fifth of Americans wrongly believe President Barack Obama is a Muslim, according to a US poll out today.

Nearly a fifth of Americans wrongly believe President Barack Obama is a Muslim, according to a US poll out today.

The number who think he is a Muslim is now 18%, up from the 11% who said so in March 2009. The proportion who correctly say he is a Christian is down to 34%.
