Doctors find pea plant growing in man's lung

An American man who suffered a collapsed lung was surprised to find a pea plant growing inside it.

Ron Sveden, from Massachusetts, had been suffering from emphysema for months when his condition deteriorated.

Doctors believe he swallowed a pea seed, which went down the wrong way, and then sprouted in his left lung.

He is now recovering well after surgery.
