Two British climbers have died in the French Alps after falling more than 1,000ft off a mountain.

Two British climbers have died in the French Alps after falling more than 1,000ft off a mountain.

The 38-year-old man and 20-year-old woman slipped while scaling the popular Giant's Tooth peak, near Mont Blanc, on Monday.

Police in the nearby town of Chamonix say the pair - who have not yet been named - both died instantly.

The victim's families have been informed.
