Quake strikes off Pacific island

A magnitude 6.8 quake has struck off the Pacific Ocean island of Vanuatu.

The quake hit at a depth of 41 miles - and was centred 144 miles north-northwest of Santo.

There are no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
