Nursery worker arrested in UK over child sex attack claim

A nursery worker has been arrested in the UK on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child.

The woman, from Poole, in Dorset, was held on Sunday evening over an allegation that she sexually assaulted a child under 13. She has been released on police bail.

The Down In The Woods nursery where she works, in Merley, Dorset, has been closed while the investigation continues.

The alleged offence is claimed to have taken place at a house in Poole, and not at the nursery, the county’s police said.
