Ex-air force man questioned over 'luggage bomb' claim

A former US Air Force serviceman was being questioned today after sparking a terror alert which caused a flight from Paris to Atlanta to be diverted.

The man claimed he had explosives in his luggage and a fake passport, forcing air marshals to intervene and the plane to be diverted to Maine yesterday, US officials said.
