Bus crash kills 20 in India
An official says a bus has plunged into a deep gorge in mountainous northern India, killing at least 20 people and injuring 26 others.
Iftekhar Ahmad, chief medical officer, says 23 of the injured have been are in critical condition after today’s accident.
Mr Ahmed said the bus rolled down nearly 300 feet into the gorge while negotiating a sharp curve near Assar, a village 90 miles east of Jammu, the winter capital of India’s Jammu-Kashmir state.
