Relative arrested over mobile home massacre
Police in Georgia were questioning a man today after arresting him on suspicion of murdering eight people in a mobile home.
Guy Heinz, 22, faces eight charges of first-degree murder after the bodies were found last weekend near the coastal community of Brunswick.
Among those killed were seven of Heinze’s relatives.
In a frantic emergency call to police early last Saturday, Heinze told a dispatcher: “My whole family’s dead.”
Hours after the bodies were found, Heinze was charged with evidence tampering and drug possession, but police did not reveal until yesterday that they suspected him of the killings.
He had been briefly released on bail related to the lesser charges, then arrested again.
