Ship spotted off African coast is not missing vessel

Russia has said a cargo ship seen off the western coast of Africa is not the missing vessel that is thought to have been captured by pirates in European waters.

There are now even doubts if the ship, called the Arctic Sea, has fallen prey to pirates as its operator had suggested.
