Lebanese man jailed for life for German train bombs bid
A Lebanese man was sentenced to life in prison today for his part in the failed bombing of two German commuter trains in 2006.
A state court in Dusseldorf convicted 24-year-old Youssef Mohammed el-Hajdib of attempted murder and attempting to cause an explosion.
El-Hajdib is one of two main suspects accused of planting bombs on two regional trains at the main station in Cologne in July 2006. The bombs failed to go off.
