Conjoined twin Hope dies

One of the conjoined twins being separated at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children has died, the hospital said today.

Hope Williams died last night in the presence of her parents after she was separated from her twin Faith, because her lungs were unable to support her breathing.

Professor Agostino Pierro, head of the surgical team, said Faith was in a “stable” condition.
