Poll: McCain wins Kentucky, Obama Vermont

An exit poll has indicated that John McCain has won the vote in Kentucky.

The result, if confirmed, would mean McCain would get eight votes towards the total of 270 needed to win the US presidential election.

Meanwhile, Senator Barack Obama is said to have won in Vermont, a state that holds three electoral votes.
