London bound passengers stranded over Qantas wing fault

Passengers on a Qantas Airways flight to London were stranded overnight because of damage to a wing and another Qantas flight was cancelled today after fumes were detected on board.

The problems are the latest in a string of mechanical issues to plague the Australian airline in recent months, including a loss of hydraulic fuel that led to an emergency landing, failure of landing gear and detached panels.
