No-show Thaksin 'seeks asylum in Britain'

Thailand’s deposed prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his wife failed to appear before a high court in Bangkok today amid reports they are seeking political asylum in Britain.

Thai media quoted several sources saying the millionaire boss of Manchester City FC and his family were already in London and would issue a statement there.
