Indonesia: Serial killer's total rises to 11
Police dug up six bodies from the a serial killer’s garden in Indonesia today bringing the number of his suspected victims to 11.
Verry Henyanksyah, 30, was arrested last week after confessing to murdering his lover and leaving the mutilated corpse in a suitcase in Jakarta.
Last week, four bodies were found behind Henyanksyah’s home in Jombang, a town in East Java province.
Today police and local villagers dug up six more corpses, including those of a woman and her three-year-old daughter, a spokesman said.
Hundreds of villagers gathered around the field as authorities pulled severely decomposed corpses from the ground. Police said the bodies showed signs of violence.
Police said the motive for the alleged killings, believed to have occurred over a year, remained unclear.
