Zambian girl awarded prize for education work

A 16-year-old girl from Zambia won the 2007 International Children’s Peace Prize for her efforts to help educate children in her homeland.

The award, which includes a €100,000 grant, was established by the Amsterdam-based KidsRights Foundation in 2005.
