US police were today searching for an 18-year-old man charged with stabbing his 11-year-old twin brothers, killing one of them and leaving the other seriously injured.

The boys’ grandfather, Lovett Williams, said he found Tyron Hill dead and Tyrel Hill wrapped in a blood-soaked blanket in the attic of their suburban Pittsburgh home when he went to check on the boys yesterday.

“There was blood everywhere,” Williams said. “Everywhere. Blood all over the house. Downstairs, up the steps.”

The surviving twin identified his elder brother, Troy Lavalle Hill, as the attacker, police said.

Allegheny County Police Assistant Superintendent James Morton said authorities believed Troy Hill had emotional problems, but he stopped short of suggesting a motive for the attacks.

Police charged the teenager with criminal homicide and attempted homicide and said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
